SWIMMING
"Swimming can be done on the Universal Reformer, on The High Mat, or on any hard flat surface. One of the biggest challenges of this exercise is to create even length throughout the body while moving the limbs separately through space. Another is to get the spine as long and evenly arched as possible from top to bottom against the pull of gravity. When my Center is working properly I feel strong and light moving through my imaginary ocean. Helpful Tip: For me, Swan on the High Barrel or the Cadillac help me refine this exercise." - Sandy Shimoda, owner of Vintage Pilates and its Teachers Programs.
