TREE on the Gratz Reformer and Reformer Box
When performing the tree exercise, the goal is to strengthen the core, improve balance and coordination, and increase flexibility in the legs.
SIDE TREE on Gratz Reformer and Reformer Box
The Pilates exercise known as "side tree" is a variation of the tree exercise, which is typically performed on a Pilates reformer box. The side tree exercise focuses on building strength, stability, and flexibility in the legs and core muscles, while also improving balance and coordination.
About Gaby Noble
I discovered Pilates over 20 years ago when I met my teacher Stephanie Guimond who became a dear friend. Her passion and knowledge was addictive, and that’s what I became…addicted! I was an adrenaline junkie always looking out for the latest fitness fad, however nothing quite kept my attention both physically and mentally as much as Pilates and I was reaping the benefits for days after. It was in those sessions that a light bulb went off in my head and I thought – I would love to do this!
Anyone that has experienced Classical Pilates knows to become a teacher is a massive commitment. It includes 600 hours of teaching, observation, and training, and having a job that kept me overseas for long periods of time was close to impossible to commit, so I parked the idea. 9 years ago, I was involved in a serious car accident that left me unable to lie, sit or walk without pain, due to a compressed spine. I was unable to work for 3 months and unable to go back to any normal type of routine or training. It was through practicing Pilates that enabled me to alleviate the pain and through my own Pilates training I am now able to maintain my strength & live pain free.
