Owner and Head Teacher, Lili has been a Pilates teacher for the past 15 years. Her first certification was through Stott Pilates. In 2013 she discovered Classical, or Authentic Pilates as it is also known, and instantly felt the difference. This system, rooted in history and handed down directly from Joseph Pilates, was much more challenging, comprehensive and athletic than anything she had ever experienced in Pilates before. She pursued her second certification through the award winning re:AB Authentic Pilates Teacher Training Program in New York City under the tutelage of 2nd generation teacher Brooke Siler. Lili is now enrolled in a master's teacher training program with 2nd generation teacher Chris Robinson at S6 Fitness in San Diego, CA.
Her newfound passion led Lili to open Toronto's first Classical Pilates studio in January 2014. She quickly garnered attention from celebrities in Hollywood living in Toronto while filming on location. Her original studio measured no more than 600 SF. Within just over a year of having opened her first location, the client base had outgrown the small space, and teachers had joined her in teaching the original system. In June 2015 she moved her studio to its current location, and within one year of having set roots there, the studio expanded by another two levels, bringing it to 3000 SF.
Lili is a wife, a mom to 3 kids and 1 dog, and a 3rd Generation Authentic Pilates Teacher.
Certified Teacher, Abby has been teaching the Pilates method for over ten years. A former dancer, Abby began her Pilates teacher training in 2004 through Power Pilates in New York City under the tutelage of 2nd generation teachers Bob Liekens, and Susan Moran, and received her certification in 2005. In 2014, she completed her 2nd certification through the United States Pilates Association under the direction of 2nd Generation Teacher Brett Howard. Abby is pursuing her master's with 2nd generation teacher Chris Robinson at S6 Fitness in San Diego, CA. Abby is a 3rd Generation Authentic Pilates Teacher.
Abby enjoys being creative with her lessons while challenging her clients to push themselves. Outside her love of Pilates, Abby enjoys, fashion and make-up artistry.
Junior Certified Teacher, Originally from Ontario, Stephanie has been practicing Pilates for many years. She has recently moved back to Toronto from New York City to attend Chiropractic school. With her background in dance and kinesiology she has integrated her passion for movement into her Pilates teaching. She sees Pilates as a way to build a strong foundation to excel at any movement and has used Pilates herself to prevent and recover from injuries. With her Classical Pilates training, Stephanie uses the system of Pilates with her clients to adapt to each unique body to ensure a safe and effective workout. Stephanie hopes her sessions are fun, safe, and work toward individual goals. She feels accomplished when her clients leave feeling sweaty!
Stephanie has a BA degree in Kinesiology and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Western Ontario; she has finished a 600 hour Classical Pilates teacher training program with Real Pilates in New York City.
Authentic to the Core. We are serious about Pilates. We believe that in order for you to reap the greatest benefits for your body, mind, and spirit, you need to have access to everything that Pilates can offer. This is why we launched Toronto's first Authentic Pilates studio. While other facilities offer mat-only classes, just reformer-based workouts, or modern takes on Pilates, we provide you with the full Pilates experience as it was created and intended by its founder, Joseph Pilates.
Our teachers are certified in Classical Pilates, the only system that stays true to the source. Our apparatus is crafted by Gratz, the original manufacturer of Pilates machines.
Whether you're new to Pilates, or experienced in a contemporary approach, we invite you to come experience the difference Authenticity makes.
