" The right equipment for us has always been Gratz and we believe that the classical method can only be translated using it.
- Dana Santi, Instructor
The Pilates Core
The Pilates Core, established in 2002, is a classically trained Pilates studio in LaGrange, Illinois a beautiful village West of Chicago. To instill the Pilates integrity, the studio is limited to private and semi private instruction and classes are small group. The Pilates Core also offers a variety of workshops throughout the year as well as a teacher training program. The studio is fully equipped with Gratz equipment. Choice of equipment can be critical and The Pilates Core is happy to say they have the best.
Dana Santi is the founder of The Pilates Core. Her family's dance studio is what led her to the method. Dana, as well as her 9 teachers, believe in working hard, breaking a sweat and keeping the method true to its original form. Gratz equipment helps them do just that. Keeping the method pure is what has made The Pilates Core such a successful studio. Dana is a big advocate of continuing education. She created The Classical Pilates Conference in collaboration with Gratz Pilates. The conference gives teachers and enthusiasts an opportunity to come together and experience Gratz equipment. Dana has also been a featured instructor in other Pilates conferences both state-side and abroad. Forever a student herself, Dana continues to learn and share ideas with her fellow teachers.
The Pilates Core opened its doors with 2 Gratz reformers, a wunda chair and a Cadillac. It is now fully stocked studio with several pieces of each apparatus that Gratz manufacturers. The right equipment for Dana has always been Gratz and she believes that the classical method can only be translated using it. Her teachers and clients are well educated in understanding how the equipment and the exercise are so very intertwined.
