Pop Up Pilates Event Return to Life Workout & Workshop

It's Just Pilates With Moses And Ken

Next weekend our friends Moses Urbano and Ken Heizman are teaching a workshop to benefit all those who’ve lost their homes in Ken’s neighborhood, Ken included. We at Gratz are happy to support this event by donating apparatus to help raise funds.

Please reserve your spot at the Studio for the workshop. Requested donation is $100, or whatever you can is much appreciated - join us for snacks and drinks immediately after and observe Private Pilates Sessions guided by Moses and Ken.

How is Ken now? These are Ken's words below:
"It's always dark before the dawn. In my life today the home is gone, but the studio stands bright and beautiful. Where there is an end, there are new beginnings. The massive fire brings heartaches, challenges and opportunities. My heart goes out to all of those who lost so much, close friends, neighbors, and so many others. God Bless." - Ken Heizman

Gratz has donated a Mini barrel to be raffled with 100% proceeds donated to the GoFundMe.

"Romana taught me “Contrology” - that’s what Joseph Pilates called his work. I see it is an art form of movement and believe it is the best way to naturally cleanse the body of impurities and replenish it with vibrant energy. It also happens to be a great way to exercise." ~ Moses Urbano

About Ken Heizman

Ken Heizman teaches the “original method” of Pilates, as taught to him for 10+ years by Pilates Elder Jay Grimes who learned the Pilates system and how to teach it from Joe and Clara Pilates during the 1960’s and 70’s. The original method is the most difficult and the most rewarding style of Pilates. It is Pilates, as much as possible the way the founder and developer of the method, Joe Pilates, envisioned it.

Ken is one of a few people in the world to fully complete Jay’s comprehensive teacher’s program. He has also completed several hundred hours of private sessions with him. Ken continues to learn, study and practice regularly to continually advance himself.

In Pilates, as in any exercise method, it is the results that count. Pilates performed with focus and control, produces great results quickly and thoroughly throughout the body. Ken attributes Pilates to helping him to overcome old back injuries, and to develop his own body into the best physical shape of his life. He began practicing Pilates in 2003, and in 2005 he began to teach. He’s been teaching and practicing, and learning ever since. Ken is passionate about his work, and he enthusiastically shares the magic of Pilates with his clients.

About Original Method Pilates Studio

The Original Method Pilates Studio in Agoura Hills was created in 2015 as one of a few but growing number of Pilates studios in the world that teaches, practices and promotes the very difficult and incredibly beneficial exercise method, as much as possible, to the way the founder of the method Joe Pilates envisioned it. The studio contains over 20 different pieces of “original” Pilates apparatus. The original style equipment is made by Gratz Industries. It is the strongest, safest and most durable equipment on the market.

O.M. Pilates offers private sessions and workshops for teachers who want to further their Pilates education, and for anyone who has the desire and the drive to condition their own body to the highest levels of strength, flexibility and control through movement.

The "original" Pilates method was invented 100 years ago. It has been proven to be incredibly effective. It is good for everybody, and it is great for every body. The exercise method takes many years to fully learn in mind and body. However positive results will be evident from the very first few sessions.
