The Pilates and Yoga Studio teaches the pure method carried over by Romana Kryzanowska, the protege of Joseph H. Pilates and inheritor of the method. The Studio is fully equipped with Gratz apparatus, the official and original manufacturer for Joseph H. Pilates equipment. The Pilates and Yoga Studio offers the best Pilates instruction available in Mauritius by providing the highest standard of Classical Pilates instruction and preserving the integrity of the method.

PEOPLE

Ingrid Rey is the pioneer of the Pilates method in Mauritius, and owner of The Pilates & Yoga Studio. She is trained and fully certified in the original New York method of Pilates, and has more than 13 years experience teaching in the fitness field. She was trained by master trainer Cynthia Lochard, a level one ininstructor for Romana’s Pilates and owner of the Pilates Method Studio in Sydney.

"From the first session 5 years back, I fell in love with Pilates, and was hooked. I then decided to know more about it and start the training program. The training was not easy for me, since I was the only person on my island doing classical pilates, and I quickly had to set up the first studio in order to be able to practice. EQUIPMENT

My one and only choice when it came to setting the studio up was Gratz, knowing from my personal experience about different manufacturers, that it is not possible to get the right work and feeling on other equipment. Gratz equipment is the best in terms of quality, design, safety, and the most faithful to what Joseph Pilates used to work with.
