STUDIO

We are proud to announce out studio celebrates 15 years of teaching the Joseph Pilates Method of Physical and Mental Conditioning, June 2012.  The studio is second only to the original Pilates Studio of the Midwest, where clients came from all over the USA to train and learn to become teachers.  The town of Highland Park, Illinois is considered the North Shore of Chicago. Our studio is 1500 square feet and we are proud to have Gratz equipment.

PEOPLE

Debra LaMantia, co-owner of The Pilates Center of the North Shore, Inc. My background is in dance and becoming a Pilates instructor gave me the opportunity to continue the “poetry in motion” that the Pilates method offers, as well as teaching and learning about how bodies move.

I’ll always remember my teacher trainer, Juanita Lopez saying “You will never have to sell Pilates.  Clients will come to you knowing that the Pilates Method works.”  I feel the same when applying this to Gratz equipment.  When clients experience the expertise workmanship put into each apparatus, they feel safe, which allows them to fully immerse themselves into their workout.  As Romana Kryzanowska said, “Pilates IS a WORKOUT.”

Randi Neebe, co-owner of The Pilates Center of the North Shore, Inc. My Pilates journey began in dance at the age of 7.  I had been a performer, teacher and currently am a rehearsal mistress. I was introduced to Pilates in 1994, and was certified in 1996 under the guidance of master teacher, Romana Kryzanowska.

EQUIPMENT

We have used Gratz equipment for over 15 years and experience the reliability and see the longevity that it offers. Our reformers came from the original studio in Evanston, IL and we still use them daily.  Soon after we opened in Highland Park, a Gratz representative came to show us how to properly maintain and condition our equipment.  We found this most valuable and we continue to respect how important this is.  We have seen over the years how fine the Gratz equipment is, conforming to all clients’ abilities.  We are proud to promote the use of Gratz equipment.
